The Institute for Archaeological Oceanography’s (IAO) Eastern Aegean 2008 expedition aimed to locate known shipwreck sites in the deeper waters along the coast of the Bodrum Peninsula. This project builds off previous work in the area by the Institute of Nautical Archaeology (INA) in shallow water and will locate and image wrecks from these earlier surveys to further document known sites just beyond the reach of SCUBA divers. |
